Course Descriptions

SOCIALWORK@SIMMONS

Students complete 65 credits on either an extended (8-term), full-time (6-term), or accelerated (4-term) track. Students who hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree and are accepted into the advanced standing (4-term) track only need to complete 34 credits to graduate.

The accelerated and advanced standing tracks can be completed in as few as 16 months; the full-time track can be completed in as few as 23 months; and the extended track can be completed in as few as 32 months.

Courses are divided into generalist courses (24 credits), specialized courses (12 credits), electives (12 credits), and practicum education (17 credits).
