Simmons’ Online Master of Social Work Program

Simmons delivers its clinically focused Master of Social Work (MSW) program online, allowing students across the country access to the nation’s first school of clinical social work. With a curriculum that emphasizes social justice values and multicultural perspectives, the program prepares students for direct practice in a wide range of clinical settings.

In addition to live, online classes, the program includes the following features:

Field Education

Students partner with a field placement specialist to find a site in or near their communities where they will gain hands-on experience.

Certificate Programs

Students have the opportunity to develop expertise in a specific area of practice. With the MSW, students can earn a certificate in Trauma Practice, Practice With Groups & Families, or Mental Health Practice.

An Emphasis on Community

Students can connect easily with classmates and faculty through social tools in the online platform and join student affinity groups.
